Eligibility
Dean earned his eligibility to The American Legion by serving in the United States Air Force from 1987-1990. He was stationed at Pope AFB, NC, as a Crew Chief assigned to a C-130.

He served for 25 years as a Fire Fighter/Paramedic for the Sylvania Township Fire Department, retiring as a Lieutenant in 2015.

Following retirement, he worked part-time as the Sylvania Township Zoning Compliance Officer.

He has been a Paid Up in Full (PUFL) member of the Joseph W. Diehn Post 468 in Sylvania, Ohio for 15 years. He is also a member of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 265 in Wauseon, Ohio, honoring his father’s service in the U.S. Navy.

Family Ties…
He has been married to his wife, Melissa, for 32 years. They have three adult sons, three lovely daughters-in-law and one grandson.
